About this campaign
Star was a Christmas gift in 2020 to help as an emotional support animal for myself. She has been a great help for my PTSD. I don’t know what I do without her. Her full name is Starlightrose to be that guiding light.
Unfortunately, my poor Star puppy was born with what they call a liver shunt. She received a surgery in 2021 in hopes to correct her liver to give her a long lasting life. Sadly, she is one of the 10% of dogs that has developed an additional liver shunt, and the vet at the UofM is suggesting another surgery. This surgery is extremely costly, and I don’t have the funds to cover another one.
Star is special because she picks up on emotions and is right there when she notices I’m going to have an anxiety episode before I even do. Everyone who has met her has said she is such an adoring, loving dog. She’s always eager to please, and means the world to me. She’s also a great cuddle dog when you need that companionship.
I went through a divorce and now I’m supporting myself on a single income and with the cost of living being so high these days I want to make sure I provide the best care for Star. It would mean so much to me for any help that I can received to achieve that.
