Star is a 1.5-year-old Yorkie in Meadville, PA, who needs $1,500 for Emergency Ovariohysterectomy.

Star is my emotional support animal and my best friend in the world. Star and I have been inseparable since I got her 1.5 years ago as a puppy. I received her from a close friend just after I was diagnosed with Leukemia to help me with the emotional and physical turmoil I was going through with diagnosis. She goes everywhere with me even to treatment. I can’t imagine life without her.

Star is my go everywhere buddy, she sleeps in bed right next to me. She is also a very best friend to my two daughters who love to play tug of war and fetch with her daily. Star loves to play outside in her puppy pool and sunbathe when it’s not to hot. She also enjoys going for walks anywhere and everywhere but she especially loves to walk in the woods down to the crick to swim with the kids.

Star has a very best kitten friend named Lady Jack who she loves to run around the house and play with. She loves belly rubs and will never turn one down no matter where we are. Her favorite toy is a “loan shark” stuffed toy with squeakers from bark box and he goes almost everywhere she goes, even outside to potty. She loves to open her mail when a new bark box or bullymake box arrives.

Star is just coming out of her second heat cycle and I believe she has a life threatening infection called Pyometra which is a bacterial infection of the womb. This is an emergent situation that can only be treated by antibiotics, prostaglandins and emergency surgery to remove the infected womb. If Star does not receive this treatment it is unlikely she survive.

I unfortunately don’t have funds for Stars care due to my recent Leukemia diagnosis and my funds going to treatment.I am a disabled single parent of two and on a very tight budget. It would mean the world to be able to save my dogs life like she has saved mine. I need her.
