Stark is a 1-year-old Golden Retriever in Tigard, OR, who needs $2,000 for Linear Obstruction.

We got Stark we he was just 6 weeks old and he has been the best little puppy ever. The most loving and lovable guy. He loves belly scratches, wrestling. He’s a giant but gentle but also can be a wrecking ball when he gets excited. He loves treats and if he thinks his brother is getting food he’s next in line every time.

He likes to play with his brother Chief most days and he’s a big eater whenever he can get snacks or treats he’s the happiest. He is a big cuddler and loves attention when he can get from whoever will give it. He will also crawl right up on top of you if you let him. He likes to get up on the bed with and lay right on your chest and fall asleep.

We took out a loan to pay the vet but the bill keeps getting higher and higher as more complications come. We are currently working and getting donations from other sources as well.

A couple days ago I came home from work and he has really bad diarrhea so I gave him a bath and something wasn’t right he was just really lethargic and slow. I took him to the emergency vet and they said he swallowed something and it was blocking his intestines and it caused sepsis in his stomach. His blood pressure was extremely low and they had to surgery to remove the thing he swallowed.

Some of the things Stark will do that make you smile or laugh would be if you pet him you need to be prepared to pet him until forever. He will nudge your hand with his nose until you pet him again. If you don’t pet him he will crawl on top of you and demand pets. He is very smart as well he will let you poor his food and sit there and look at you until you say ok it’s time to eat.
