Stella is a 6-year-old dog who was hit by a car outside Tallahassee, FL. She had been living as an outdoor dog and never had a true home. After Animal Control brought her to a vet, I stepped in through rescue and she is now safe, loved, and recovering in foster care.

Stella suffered two broken right legs, a fractured pelvis and ulna, and a torn ACL after being hit by a car. She underwent emergency orthopedic surgery on both legs at Capital Veterinary Specialties in Tallahassee, FL, followed by hospitalization and ongoing care.

Despite severe trauma and pain, Stella has been incredibly gentle, trusting, and affectionate. She has been sweet with every vet, tech, and caregiver, never snapping or flinching. Her resilience and loving nature have touched everyone who’s met her.

Stella’s emergency surgeries and hospitalization total $3,874 so far, with more care still ahead. As a small rescue, this cost is overwhelming. Support means Stella can fully heal, keep her legs, and finally enjoy the safe, loving life she’s never had before.
