About this campaign

I rescued her on "accident" in 2011. Long story short everything went wrong in all the right ways and she became mind. The vet found a tumor in her anal glands and did surgery to remove it. Results came back it was cancer (anal gland adenocarcinoma) she needs 4 rounds of chemo at 314 each on top of the surgery (1400ish and mostly paid off).

She is the apple of my eye. We go on a walk at least four times a day. She is a very lazy girl, on these walks, she decides it's time to sit down half the time and it takes encouragement to get her back up! She loves children and I have two nephews and a niece who she absolutely adores and is so gentle with! She is such a great family dog.

The testing and medications alone have me at over $1000 already. On top of that, the surgery was around $1400. I put $1300 on care credit and paid the rest but I'm moving next month and because of missing work from COVID, I'm struggling to try to get funds needed for chemo.

The vet felt the tumor when he expressed her glands and discussed the likelihood that it was cancer. Two weeks follow up and the vet said it grew bigger in that short amount of time so we needed surgery. The vet removed the tumor on April 16th and the lab showed anal gland adenocarcinoma. She needs 4 doses of chemo given 3 weeks apart. Her first will be next Friday.

She has saved me every single day since the day she became mine. She follows me everywhere I go and loves to lay beside me and place her head on me. I struggle with some health issues that she has helped me through by giving me something to look forward to and motivate me to keep strong.
