Stella is a 7-year-old German Sheppard mix in Grass Valley, CA, who needs $2,000 for surgery.

Stella was my moms dog. My mom always said, she is the best dog I have ever had!!! Sadly my mom has passed and Stella is now mine and she is so smart and loving. Before she came to us, she was with a blind man but he was not being very kind to her so we got her, I cannot image anyone being mean to this sweet girl.

Stella loves to go on car rides, she likes to sit on the couch and is very food motivated. She can catch any snack you throw her way. She recently took a trip to the beach with my neice. She has grown very attached to Stella since my mom passed. Stella lives with our other dog, Chewy. Stella was used to being an only dog but she is OK with Chewy she just doesn't like to share her food.

I have lost my second job due to Covid19 and have fell behind on my bills. I plan to go back to my second job at the end of April but Stella needs help Now. It cannot wait because she is getting sicker by the day and we just hope that she can get surgery.

Stella has been very healthy. She has been a little over weight because she has always loved to eat except for lately. She has been taking many trips to the vet lately and had a very large tumor removed but it has only been 4 months and it is back and so big, she can barely walk. We are not ready to let her go.

She is a very big part of our family because it is all we have left of our mom. She is the smartest dog we have ever had, she knows everything you tell her to do. It is just heartbreaking that she is quickly losing her battle. I feel safe with Stella around because she always lets me know if someone is coming on to our property and she has a very loud bark but wags her tail to everyone.
