Stella is a 9-year-old Pit Bull Mix in Lakeland, FL, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy.

We got Stella at 8 wks old and she easily became a huge part of our family. We take her on vacation with us . She recently became. diabetic , has cataracts and takes insulin daily. This does not slow her down as you would never know she can’t see well and gets around fine.

Stella loves to cuddle and snuggle. We have cats which she has helped raise since they were born. They all love her . One in particular - Punkin loves to help take her outside and back in like a seeing eye cat.

Stella is just an all round great dog. I can’t imagine life without her. She deserves to live longer and she has a chance to with your help. Anything amount helps.

I was told by Stella’s vet during a routine checkup she had spleen and liver cancer and months to live. Dr Ladder only did a simple ultrasound for his diagnosis. I went 10/28/23 for a second opinion to a specialist Dr. Nations at Veterinary Healthcare Associates and after blood tests and detailed ultrasound Stella only has a large spleen tumor that’s not cancer and can be removed . Good prognosis.

This is a Very unexpected expense for us. My husband is currently undergoing chemo for small cell Bladder cancer and we are already struggling to make ends meet.
