About this campaign
I adopted Stella in 2018. She was the noisiest pup out of her siblings and I knew she was my girl. She’s been my ride or die ever since, living with me in Lansing, Michigan. She’s polite, energetic, goofy, and an all around amazing dog.
Stella jumped down from the car and landed just a certain way, causing her to blow out her knee. After X-rays, vet has determined she has a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament, which requires a TPLO surgery. Her doctor at Waverly Animal Hospital suspects this could be genetic, and there it at anything I could have done differently.
Stella is my best friend. Stella saved my life more than once. Not only did she get me through Covid alone, but she got me through som other traumatic events, like my job loss, cancer diagnosis, and separation from my partner. She goes everywhere I go. She’s loved by everyone who meets her. She’ll never turn down a buggy ride or a cookie.
I’m a high school teacher, and I live alone. Paying my bills on a single income can get tricky. In 2022, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and underwent major surgery. I’m happy to report I’m healthy now, but I have many of my own medical bills that keep piling up.
