Stella is a 3-year-old Pug in New Castle , VA, who needs $2,000 for Enucleation.

Stella came into our lives right after shelter in place. She was a ray of sunshine during a dark time. She is always excited to be with her family. We made a cross country move a year and a half ago. Stella was her same bubbly self throughout. She hasn't a mean bone in her body. She is kind to all animals and people she meets.

Stella can be found cuddling with her sister Mable first thing every morning. As soon as she sees one of us, whatever time of day, she brings us her ball to play. She could play ball for hours. She only drops her ball for meals, treats and cuddles. She even sleeps with her ball.

The only time Stella acts angry is if her sister Mable gets her ball. She will make such a fuss. If she can get a hold of it from the other side they will play tug of war. If I take it from Mable and give it to Stella, 9 times out of 10 she will drop the ball and start the whole game again.

We found Stella had injured her eye the other morning. After taking her to Hanging Rock Animal Hospital, we found out she had a ruptured ulcer and need to have her eye enucleated. It breaks my heart. She is still her sunny self, even though I know she is in pain

We are in the process of building a house. We have a construction loan. On top of that, we have rent. Things are tight. My husband and I aren't even exchanging Christmas gifts. I wish Stella didn't need this surgery. More than anything I don't want her to be in pain anymore.
