Stella is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Riscommon, MI, who needs $2,000 for ACL Tear Repair.

We rescued Stella as a puppy. Her mom and 6 siblings were found nearly all starved to death. We have had her now for almost 2 years. I named her Stella because while watching Morden Family, when they would call out Stella, my Stella’s ears would perk up. She was 10 weeks old when we adopted her. She has an older brother Shiloh and two cat siblings. She loves to play with Shiloh the most.

When Stella was 3 months old she started whimpering and we could tell her hips were sore. X-rays confirmed she was born with hip dysplasia. Our vet wants us to wait a few more years before surgery. Two weeks ago she couldn’t put weight on her left back leg, she has developed an ACL tear in her left back leg which requires surgery to at least get to her baseline of quality of life.

We always say Stella is a People person’. She is so excited to see everyone all the time. If you walk out of the room and came back through the door she is just as excited as if you have just got there. She is so goofy and lovable. Always wanting to play or get a good belly rub.

We are your average middle class family, just making enough to get by. The cost of this surgery is not something we would be able to come up with in our own.
