My name is Matt. I am a veteran and I worked in EMS as a EMT,the primary care giver on ambulance. Last year in July I ended up getting infected by the covid-19 virus. Was hospitalized for a while. I am still dealing with residual effects from the virus. Including scarring in my lungs. I have not been back to work. In March of this year Stella was gifted to me by a neighbor who know I wanted a dog

Stella basically has come into my life during a very difficult time. I reached out for a hand and found a paw. Stella is 4 months old. And loves me extremely. As do I her. She's daddy's girl. It is just me and Stella. Stella can be a bit stubborn at times but is learning. She is picking up on when I am stressed. When I need my treatments. She wants to be next to me all the time.

I am currently on work comp since July of last. Only receiving 784 a month to live on. This is very unexpected and difficult to handle.
It will me the world to me to have her back good health. She is my world.

The other day when me and Stella where playing around with one of her toys. She went to jump up unto chase lounge and slipped landing wrong this time. Yelping out in pain taking a while to calm her down. I found out today 5-29 after taking to vet that when she fell she fractured her left back leg. I have to take her back every Saturday to have rechecked.

One big thing to me about Stella is the amount of love she gives me since day one. She will not just play with her toys ie ball, ring. But also old bottles, containers. And funny a lot of times when she is playing. Including getting her tail.
She all the sudden started crawling under covers to sleep when we sleep at night.
