Stew is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in PLAINFIELD, IL, who needs $2,000 for PU surgery to make a new hole so he can urinate.

Our Stews story.
We rescued Stew when he was just months old. He was found with his mom and siblings in an abandoned house in Chicago. He instantly warmed all of our hearts. He is very social and la loving boy. He loves being outside with us watching the birds in his stroller. The neighbor kids have also become attached to Stew and will gladly walk him around the block in the stroller.

Sadly a few weeks ago he developed a total urinary blockage. The vet said he’s the tightest she has ever seen. We had him catheterized for 3 days while staying at the vet. He came on meds and a new special diet food. The cost being over $2000. His blockage came back yesterday and now requires an expensive PU procedure. We’re looking for any help to offset this surgery so we can save our Stew!!

Stew has a 14 yr old cat brother named Merv. He also has two 1 year old mini doodle brothers, Bern and Jer. He loves playing with them and can be found chasing Jer around the house. He sleeps every night with our 17 year old son. He’s been his cat since day 1. This has been very hard on his human brother who loves him so so much.

Our last vet visit to save Stew was almost $2400. The vet is recommending the PU surgery since his urethra is the thinnest she’s seen. This surgery will cost between 3-5k. I don’t have the heart to put him to sleep. He’s only 2 years young!
