About this campaign
Stitch was a recent gift for my 16 yr old son for emotional support and comfort. My son lost his bestfriend in a traumatic accident at a local shooting range where the boys were target shooting. Then shortly after his Dad was diagnosed with terminal small cell lung cancer. We live in a tiny farm village population only 220.
Stitch fractured his distil aspect of his right front humerus while playing with my bulldog who accidentally stepped on his leg. He needed a surgery estimated at $9k so we have decided to have the leg amputated by Dr Natalie at Countryside Veterinary Service.
Stitch is a very important part of my sons grieving and healing process and helps him with coping with everyday life and all the major trauma and loss he has experienced.
My husband was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer and due to mounting medical bills and his inability to work we now live on a fixed income. My son is still in high-school only 16 and has suffered so much trauma and loss. It would mean everything to us to get help.
