Storm followed my daughter around the pet rescue. He was constantly jumping in her lap, purring loudly, and snuggling into her. He chose her 3 years ago and has been my daughter’s support.

My daughter and I also have an 8 year old cat. He and Storm are best buds, always playing. They love being outside on the balcony, watching birds and catching bugs.

Early Dec. we noticed Storm was not opening his right eye. An urgent care visit diagnosed him with a 7mm painful ulcer. (See pic. Green is the ulcer) After weekly visits with the primary vet and no resolution, we saw an animal ophthalmologist. Due to squinting from pain, his bottom eyelid rolled in. His eyelashes are rubbing the ulcer and preventing healing.

Storm is super loving, especially with my daughter. He cuddles with me, but only allows her to pick him up. When she does, he lays his head on her shoulder, closes his eyes, and purrs. He loves her as much as she loves him.

He is also the most relaxed cat, even when he sleeps. He sleeps in the wildest positions. His little canines poke out and most of the time he sticks his tongue out too. Silly

I am a single mom, living in low-income housing. Trying to heal Storm’s painful ulcer has been a huge financial burden; urgent care, medications, weekly vet visits, and the specialist visit. He needs a procedure to unroll his eyelid to stop the eyelashes from irritating.
