Stormy is an American Bully puppy in Windsor, CT, who needs $2,000 for Neurological Disease.

Our family received Stormy when she was just 8 weeks, a gift for my 10-year old daughter by her grandfather. Stormy is a Blue Tri American Bully. We have no other pets in the home, in fact she is our first fur baby! My daughter chose her name well before she was born (she came from a breeder). Since we knew she was going to be grey, she was named Stormy, for the color of the sky during a storm.

Stormy is a very playful dog - she gets bored quite easily, so we keep a great deal of toys to stimulate her throughout the day. She enjoys going on walks and especially likes to run loose in a big baseball field near our home. She is extremely intelligent and highly food motivated so it has been easy enough for our 10 y/o to do basic training with her; such as sit, stay, wait, come and paw.

I am a single mom on a fixed income, w/ limited funds for extra expenses. Stormy loves to play, get a good belly rub, & as Aubrey says, "has a really great sniffer". It will mean a great deal to have her back to her happy and loving self. Our home is too quiet without her.

On 3/6 Stormy began displaying symptoms of extreme lethargy and slowed movements by 3/13 she was admitted as a critical patient to Pieper Veterinary ER unit. Stormy's MRI on 3/15 revealed a neurological issue. Her Neurologist, Dr. James Hammond recommended a 5-day stay at the hospital to treat her condition with the use of steroid and antibiotics. They will continue to watch for improvement.

Stormy is incredibly special to us, she is my 10 y/o daughter's first pet and has become remarkably close to her in only a few short months. It has been difficult with my daughter adjusting to COVID-19 restrictions. She is an only child so Stormy has been a nice companion for her over the last 5 months. Stormy most especially loves to show anyone who enters our home one of her many stuffed toys.
