My kitty Stripes Leilani has been in my life for 9 yrs. I have been her full time Mom since her Daddy passed away 7 yrs. ago. She has been such a blessing to so many people in my family, she is always there to give of herself with her special gift of kindness & gentleness. She had even been a therapy cat to my Mom & roommate in Skilled Nursing before we lost Mom. She was better than any med.

Stripes is one of 3 kitties I share my life and home with. She is a 9 yr. old Persian/Tabby who is a bundle of endless energy. She loves to snuggle underneath my arms and knead away, looking up at me with those peridot eyes and long whiskers on constant auto-purr. She is the peacemaker when the scuffles start between Rain Lily & Pita Lolita. Always sweet, always gentle.

Stripes was recently diagnosed with severe anemia & is going to need a transfusion, she is in dire need. We don't know yet if it is parasitic, autoimmune or Leukemia. I do know that I had to speak to her Dr. yesterday about the quality of her life and in inevitable which I refuse to accept, not yet, not now. She is on steroids & antibiotics but not much change, I am so afraid.

Stripes has a special talent, she boxes like a pro in the ring! She especially likes bird watching, chasing her laser light & my Mom used to say she sounded like a Timex watch ticking when she drank her water from her bowl. I call her Babygirl because when she was 2, she was still very small, we used to say she weighed 3 boxes of macaroni.
