About this campaign
We rescued Stryder as a puppy. He has grown up with our eldest as they were “puppies” together. He’s become her ESA over the years. We lost him for a couple years. One day his chip was finally scanned by a vet and we got the call he was found and we got him back. We plan on getting a puppy to help liven he and Sadie up and hope to extend the years more
Stryder is the family grandpa. He makes sure everyone is home and safe. He watches and, in his own way, counts all 6 of us as we come in. He alerts for visitors, blocks the kids from those he gets an odd vibe from. He’s the traditional “good ol’ boy” as dogs go. He’s loved by all 4 kiddos. He does what our other basset Sadie says.
Due to Covid my income is nill & being forced to move (apt using Covid to renovate & legally force people out) our savings is gone. Just financially can’t do it. Denied with Care Credit & ScratchPay .
This alternative treatment would be much easier on him then the surgery route would be. They feel there’s a 95% chance of killing all the worms. Given his age the required limitations on physical activity are ok. They will scan to see if there is anything else & to precisely see what his cough is from. Prior vet dismissed the cough. It’s gotten worse and it doesn’t help the heart-worms at all.
Every time he leaves, returns home he checks the fence line in the yard. Make sure nothing has been breeched. When someone (especially our eldest) is sick:upset he sits with them. Mentally, he forces them to play/pet/cuddle etc. when one is sick he just cuddles and let’s them know he’s there. He makes sure all are happy/safe. So now it’s our turn.
