About this campaign
My dearest friend in the world is called Sugar. I chose her name because she’s the sweetest being God could have created for me. She was born in a litter of six and when I first saw her at 2 months old, I knew then that we were meant to be in one another’s lives. She’s every bit as special to me as a baby is to their father. She is also my doctor certified support animal too.
Sugar is demanding of my loving attention and not a day goes by that she doesn’t kiss me on my lips and assures me that this life is worth living. Usually during the mornings after a good night’s rest sleeping together in the bed, Sugar is perky and mornings are our special time to connect and be a loving family.
My dearest Sugar is a talker and she routinely yips to me when she needs something immediate from me. It’s adorable how she talks to me! It’s almost like we both understand one another intimately. Sometimes she rubs her nose with her front feet playfully when we love each other with a very happy expressions. She is my life.
My baby has type 1 diabetes and congestive heart failure. She’s nearly blind as a result of the diabetes, and she’s currently being treated for a stubborn bladder infection. She also has arthritis from previous injuries. She is far from her time of rest. She’s had ongoing veterinary care at Tieton Drive Animal Clinic for about two years now and her primary care physician is Kristy Hammes DVM.
Recently, my CareCredit card’s limit was reduced significantly and now I’m unable to maintain the level of veterinary care that I once could. Sugar is doing so well considering her medical challenges, but she does require constant blood sugar monitoring and general care.
