Sully is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Black Mountain, NC, who needs $2,000 for Total Ear Canal Ablation Bulla Osteotomy.

We adopted Sully from a rescue organization right before Halloween in 2022. We had recently lost 2 of our cats - 1 to cancer and the other to kidney infection. Sully joined our 2 remaining girl kitties and though he was shy, he realized he was loved and safe, and he has been a very important part of our family. He is a gentle giant and enjoys sunning with his sisters and sleeping with us.

Sully has had chronic ear infections, caused by many tumors in both ears, a condition called Ceraminatosis. Both ear canals are ruptured, and 2 laser ablations have been done. At this point, his vet, Dr. Bolt at Sweeten Creek Animal Hospital says he needs both ears completely removed and sewn up, leaving him deaf. It is the ONLY cure. He has torn his ear flaps up scratching and is in pain.

Sully is precious and gentle. He has a high-pitched "WOW?!" instead of "meow." He snuggles and grooms his sister, and plays with both sisters. He loves the laser light best. All 20 pounds of him sleeps on my chest or pillow most of the night. He brings us so much joy and love, and seeing him in misery breaks our hearts. He's young and otherwise healthy, with potential for a long, happy life.

We live in one of the worst hit areas of Tropical Storm Helene in Western NC and had expensive home repairs. I was also not able to work for 2 months, and my husband is on disability with early dementia. This surgery is $2500 per ear, and we are already in a lot of debt.
