Summer is a 16-year-old Pitbull in Henderson, NV, who needs $2,000 for Heart Surgery.

Our Puppy Summer was given to us at 8weeks old by our family friend who could no longer keep her due to their living situation. We took Summer in to get her first puppy exam 12 hours after bringing her home and were delivered the news that she had several congenital heart issues that need to be repaired for her to live a long happy life with our family!

Summer has an 11 year old border collie sister, Lassie. They love spending time together playing with toys and laying with each other all day. They enjoy there morning walks together where they say hello to everyone they see! At home when she is not playing with her sister or walking, you can usually find Summer sitting on her Dads lounger bean bag snuggling with her Mom or Dad!

With the current global pandemic, we are only living off of 1 fixed income and were not planning to incur such a large expense . The surgery will allow for Summer to experience life, like any living thing should, long and happy with lots of love from her Mom and Dad.

We have been working very closely with the team over at Green valley animal hospital, especially Dr. Saddler, she is so great and we are extremely appreciative to have her in our corner. It is not everyday you meet such a great person. Summer has not only 1 , but 4 pressing issues with her heart. She has a severe murmur, a shunt, 2 broken heart valves and an additional heart chamber.

Summer is a special girl to us because she is our 2nd rescue with a very unique health issue. It seems at this point, we were meant to take care and love dogs or animals in general that would otherwise be labeled as "broken". She is such a happy girl with such a big heart who smiles at everyone she sees and meets!
