About this campaign

Sunny started coming to our door shortly after we moved into our house 4 years ago. He was a kitten but had a collar so my husband and I just fed him and assumed he had owners. As he grew it seemed he did not have anyone actually caring for him and he was still not fixed. So we thought we would at least get him fixed but he had fleas and worms so we decided to keep him as an inside cat.

My husband and I have had rescue cats in the past and took Sunny in and a few months later his sister from the street - Edie. She was abandoned 10+ years and mostly feral but she and Sunny hung around outside. So we reduced them both. They both are indoor spoiled kitties. Sunny is the little big brother. Much younger but bigger and more stoic. He loves to look out the window and be pet.

This has been a major expense. Mostly we can cover but not this last bill. We owe money and will probably need more tests still. A little help would go a long way.

It started in September. He suddenly started to vomit and was drooling. We took him to the vet. They thought maybe there was a blockage and he had a bad fever. He had exploratory surgery and had complications from feeding tube. after 3 weeks in the hospital and 3 months of tests- an endoscope and ultrasound- they still have no idea what is wrong. He just won’t eat. We put in a new tube.

Sunny is a seat stealer. As soon as you stand up it’s his and sometimes when you are still in it he will circle and try to get you to move. He has very long legs and we love how he sits to look at the window, like a student at a desk. He always loved to chase crickets. He was never a lap cat before but since he’s been sick he just wants to sit and be held by us. We just want him to get better
