Sweet Sunny has always been a shy boy. Most of the time, he prefers to keep to himself and finds safety in hiding, quietly watching the world Sweet Sunny has always been a a distance. But even the most reserved cats have ways of telling us when something is wrong—and Sunny’s caretakers noticed the signs. He wasn’t grooming as well as before, and his gentle spirit seemed weighed down by discomfort.

Sunny was scheduled for a routine dental cleaning, but once the vet got a closer look, it was clear his mouth was in much worse shape than anyone expected. Poor Sunny needed 14 teeth extracted in order to relieve his pain and prevent further infection. While this procedure was absolutely necessary for his health and quality of life, the cost was overwhelming for Adopt a Cat Foundation.
