About this campaign
I rescued sushi from the inside of a car hood when she was two days old. She was smaller than the palm of my hand and her eyes weren't open yet. I bottle fed her every 3 hours until she was weaned. She is 11 months old and her birthday is April 18th. I took her in to be spayed 2 weeks ago and I bought her a surgical suit thinking it would be more comfortable for her and it left her with a laceration
Sushi has 2 kitty sisters and a brother. They were all rescues from my time working at an animal hospital as a veterinary technician. They have traveled along side my husband and I while he has traveled on orders from the US Navy. They are like our children, as we have no human children of our own.
After paying for her spay surgery and a surgery of my own a month ago, I am completely tapped out. I lost my job due to covid two months ago and have not been able to find anything that would accommodate my healing from my own surgery.
Sushi had a spay surgery two weeks and she was given an e collar. I noticed she was able to bite around it so I purchased a surgical suit for her. The surgical suit rubbed against her under arm and left her with a laceration requiring surgery and pain medication. I was quoted a total of $435 in total.
Sushi is my second bottle baby and definitely my special one. She knows how to open doors and drawers. I've had to baby proof everything in my home. She is way too smart for her own good and she knows it. She runs over when called or whistled for, just like a dog and she has a giant personality for her small body.
