Susie is a 9 year old Ragamuffin in Hoover, AL, who needs $2,200 for Ketoacidosis Treatment.

Susie was given to me after he was dropped into a wall space at 3-4 weeks old when his mother was moving the litter. I bottle fed him for approximately 2 weeks and he has been my best friend ever since. He is an only cat and 9 years old. I don’t have children so it’s just my boy and me!

Susie is diabetic and has been well managed until recently, yesterday he started to get very sick and now we are at the emergency vet and he is in ketoacidosis. I am desperate to fix his and get my boy back to a healthy baseline and the vet is confident they can do so. He is still so full of life but he needs help desperately!

Susie is a big 20lb ball of love! He love to be held like a baby, taking up my entire torso to cuddle in the mornings, and LOVES churus and his catnip stuffed dynamite stick. He lays flat on his back, legs stretched straight in any random spot that catches his eye. He looks at me like I hung the moon and I would if could for him! He’s my best friend and I don’t know what I would do without him.

I was between jobs for a little bit last year which drained my emergency funds I had saved up. Despite that, Susie never had a lapse in care. I am currently employed full tim but do not have the savings to pay for his emergency vet bill up front for them to start treatment.
