About this campaign
This is Suzie. She was rescued at a year old, running with a pack of strays in the ‘rough’ area of town. She was already a mother of two litters of puppies when she was rescued in December 2010. She was found living in a barrel with her 2nd litter of puppies. The rescue organization placed her and her pups with us as a foster family. I kept Suzie and she became part of my pack of 3 other dogs.
Suzie's life has been simple and full of love since that time. She loves her fur-family (3 dogs and a cat). She likes playing with the cat, sleeping on her dog bed in the living room, chewing on beef hooves, and lots of love and petting. The grandchildren are the best. They give her lots of treats and let her lay in their laps.
Suzie has to have more blood tests, a CAT scan, aspirate then surgery can be performed. She is such a loving pup and after such a rough start in life, I cannot imagine having to let her die due to high costs for veterinary care.
Suzie's stomach is swollen, and she is uncomfortable laying down. She has three problems to address. She has a mass on her liver, her gallbladder must be removed, and she has Cushing’s disease. Suzie must treated for Cushing's for several weeks, then further tests are needed to see if any major blood vessels are running through the mass to remove it. Suzie gets so excited when it is time to go for a walk that she bounces around and grins from ear-to-ear waiting for the leash to be pulled out. She's not too good walking, though as she wants to stop and smell every blade of grass. She has the cutest way of grinning when she's excited. Suzie is the absolute sweetest dog and only wants to be loved.
