About this campaign

Meet Sweetie, a gentle eleven-year-old cat from Tennessee who urgently needs dental surgery. Years of severe dental disease have left many of her teeth rotten and painful, and several must be extracted to give her relief. T

Despite everything she’s endured, Sweetie truly lives up to her name. Nearly three years ago, after her former owner passed away, Sweetie found her way to her current mom. Back then, she was just a “grey blur” — shy, skittish, and unsure of the world. She used to run and hide whenever anyone pulled into the driveway. The first time her new mom was able to gently pet her felt like a privilege. Sweetie is discerning about who she trusts, but once you’re in her circle, you get to see just how loving she is.

She spent much of her early life outdoors, but she has beautifully adapted to indoor life and now enjoys the comfort, safety, and spoiling every pet deserves.

Sweetie has struggled with recurring respiratory illnesses and has required multiple veterinary visits, antibiotics, and ongoing care. During these exams, her veterinarian discovered advanced dental disease. Many of her teeth are decayed, some are already missing, and the infection is causing ongoing pain. For now, she relies on wet food and lickable treats because chewing is so difficult.

Her veterinarian is optimistic that, once the infected teeth are removed, Sweetie can make a full recovery and feel like herself again — comfortable, healthy, and pain-free.

You can make a life-changing difference for Sweetie and her devoted mom by making a tax-deductible donation toward her veterinary care. Every dollar brings her closer to relief and healing. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Sweetie’s fundraising page is another powerful way to help. Spreading the word brings her one step closer to the surgery she urgently needs.

Paws 4 A Cure relies entirely on generous supporters like you to provide critical veterinary care for dogs and cats in need across the United States. Your tax-deductible donation helps ease the financial burden for loving pet parents and ensures pets like Sweetie don’t have to suffer in silence. Thank you for being part of Sweetie’s journey. Together, we can give her the comfort and second chance she deserves.

5/11/26 Update

We are so happy to share a wonderful update on Sweetie — she has officially had her dental surgery and is already feeling so much better!

During her procedure, veterinarians discovered just how severe her dental disease truly was. Sweetie needed 10 teeth extracted to remove the painful infection and decay that had been making it so difficult for her to eat comfortably. While it was a major procedure, her surgery went well, and she is now recovering safely at home with her loving mom.

The difference in Sweetie has already been incredible to see. After living with chronic dental pain for so long, she is finally getting the relief she deserved. She is more comfortable, eating better, and beginning to feel like herself again.

For a cat who spent much of her life outdoors and once lived in fear and uncertainty, it means so much to know she can now spend her senior years safe, loved, and pain-free.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated, shared her fundraiser, and supported Sweetie throughout this journey. Your kindness made this surgery possible and directly changed her quality of life. Because of you, Sweetie no longer has to suffer in silence.

Thank you for being part of Sweetie’s story and for helping give this gentle girl the comfort, healing, and second chance she so deserved
