About this campaign

Sydney came into my life 6 years ago as a rescue that another family was giving away. She’s the most loving, adorable, sweet dog I’ve ever seen considering what she’s been through in her life. Sydney originally came from a domestic violence household and acts as though she was abused herself! She hates loud noises, people waving their hands or coming anywhere near me! She’s on guard all the time!

Sydney is so loved my myself and my family when they visit. She sets next to me in my chair 90 percent of the time. When I leave the house she sets on the back of the loveseat looking out the window until I get home. She may sleep but she doesn’t eat or drink until I get home. The first thing she does is go to her water and drink. As long as she’s not in my arms or setting next to me she’s fine.

My business closed due to Covid and I have yet to find new employment. My pets are my babies and it would mean the world to me for Sydney to be healthy. She’s my lifeline and my own support animal for my anxiety and depression.

Sydney has seizures and she’s deaf. She also needs dental surgery on her lower jaw. Her jaw is deteriorating so her vet had to research how to perform the surgery so that her jaw doesn’t break. She’s also due for her yearly blood work for her seizures and yearly physical and shots. Sydney also has extremely severe anxiety and takes medication for it as well.

Sydney has 2 sisters who are 1 year old Tabby’s and she loves to play with them and chase them. She will nudge me to rub her belly lol. Sydney is deaf so we have been learning sign language to the extent that you can with a dog. She can hear loud sounds though but I don’t like yelling at her after what she’s seen and been through.
