Hello all. My name is Dezi Sylvester, this is my extraordinary kitten, Tabu. I was blessed to be Tabu's owner in October of 2020, and she has been the biggest ray of sunshine in my life. From the moment I saw her, I knew she had to be mine. I was automatically drawn to her out of all the kittens in her litter, and thankful enough she was the last one left. That’s how I knew it was meant to be.

Tabu very rebellious and curious; everything I see in myself. She is only 5 months and tries her hardest to be completely independent. It's been a blessing being able to raise this beautiful girl. She has been learning new tricks, and just learned how to jump up on our kitchen countertop. She's unlike any other feline I've ever met, and I can't stress enough how much I love her.

I feel completely responsible, and I refuse to betray Tabu by not bringing her home. I need to make it up to her for not being there when she needed me most; for not being able to afford her treatment. It’d be a betrayal to not bring her to the one place she feels safe: Home

While with a petsitter, Tabu fell out of a partially-opened window 4 stories through another apartment unit within my building. My friend was sleeping at the time and was unaware of Tabu's disappearance until the next morning. I was told Tabu sustained two broken legs, the worse being her right hind leg which, as you can see, has suffered an open fracture and may need an amputation.

Tabu is SUCH a talker. She loves to debate about why she can’t jump on different surfaces, why she can’t scratch certain things; she’s very communicative. She loves to sleep with her arms extended fully outward and every single one of our friends absolutely adore her energetic, outgoing personality.
