About this campaign
This is Taco. He is about 13 years old. He was my father-in-law’s puppy in Mesa, AZ, and his comfort animal when he developed panceatic cancer, and passed away in 2020.
A year after his passing, my mother-in-law decided to leave Arizona for Missouri, but could not take Taco to her new home.
I said I would take Taco, and adopted him to live with me in Utah.
While living in Arizona, Taco did not recieve the dental care that he needed. His condition deteriorated until now he struggles to breathe due to his decaying teeth creating holes up into his sinus cavity. The Vet says he will need surgery to extract his bad teeth and repair the socket holes that reach into his sinuses. He said its urgent before an infection spreads into his blood.
Taco is our alpha male, guardian of the castle. He lives here with my other chihuahua, Bella, the comfort dog owned my late wife for her final year befor passing of cancer also.
As it turns out, Taco-Bella, are quite a pair, both comfort animals whose masters have passed beyond this world.
The estimated surgery for Taco is a range from $2200 to $4400, depending on the number of teeth extracted. It’s an enormous amount for me and my meager income. The Vet feels the life-improving surgery will add several years to Taco’s life, which now is a question of when.
