Tala is a 5-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix in Grand Junction, CO, who needs $400 for a dental cleaning and tooth extraction surgery.

I was in the birthing pen when Tala was born. about 6 months ago I noticed she had a big piece of tartar covering her upper right rear tooth. Took her to the Vet and was told she has a broken tooth and that is attracting the plaque and she need cleaning and tooth extraction. I can not afford it at this time or since I discovered the situation. Out of work and disabled College student on Vocational Rehab ilitation grant from Colorado State. "Tala" is Lakota word for "Protector" and Souix word for "red wolf." We like to hike on bike trails in Western Colorado. Although my knees and Gout limit the distance and duration of these hikes she love to get out doors and romp. I just went to another vet and got a bid for emergency attention that is half of what my first vet originally told me. This bid is for $600 and good for another 45 days.
