About this campaign

Our daughter always wanted a dog, and we promised her that she would get one. She would pet any dog that crossed her path and we used to go to pet adoption events frequently. We love Yorkies and Schnauzers, so when we eventually found Tammy it was love at first sight.
She is our baby, our copilot, our perfect calming and cheerful companion. She goes everywhere with us.

Suddenly, Tammy developed severe pancreatitis and it got very serious. She needed a very complicated surgery and critical care before and after the surgery. She has already been admitted for 10 days, initially at Metropolitan Animal Center and currently at VRA, Veterinary Referral Associates. She is improving slowly but still has a feeding tube and requires labs and many medications.

Tammy has the sweetest temperament. She welcomes everyone with excitement. She loves playing volleyball with her older sister and running around the basement with her dad. She loves children and rolls over so they scratch her belly. We believe she smiles at times. She is also the first one to know who is feeling sad because she will stay close and give gentle kisses.

Tammy has good care at VCA and we got her medical insurance. Unfortunately we had no idea of how expensive it could get and already used it all. She is improving and we will not stop her care as long as her vets believe she can make it. Would love to have her home again.
