Tangerine is a 11-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Brooklyn, NY who needs $2,000 for Cancer Surgery.

We have found Tangerine in one of New York City’s shelters around 10 years ago. At that time, he was still a cute little baby but had grown into a loving member of our family. Honestly, we can’t imagine our lives without him now, and seeing him suffers breaks our hearts every minute of every day.
currently, we are living in Brooklyn, New York. Our family consists of me, my wife, and Tangerine.

From a little age, Tangerine was a very active and playful cat. He acts a lot like a human and sleeps in a bed with us and even under the blanket with head on the pillow. It seems like he has always been here with us. When one of us was sad, he always came and laid on the lap trying to make everything better. He always feels if something hurts and lays there.

Costs of the full treatment and medications are extremely high and unfortunately, we can’t afford them with the current situation. Due to Covid-19, we both lost our jobs. We hope that fundraiser will help Tangerine to fight cancer and get back to his happy cat life.

Tangerine stopped eating and became apathetic. Most of time he is just hiding under the bed and dreary moaning. After we took him to the vet, the doctor confirmed that he had cancer, but after X-Ray and additional analysis he told us that Tangerine has a great chance to survive the surgery.

The funniest with Tangerine was always his playfulness. We kept running around the apartment and chasing each other, kinda playing touch and run. Neighbors downstairs weren't happy at all. Sometimes he sneaks up and haunts me when I least expect. When I did the same, he was getting on the tips of his paws and fluffed his fur. That always made me laugh.
