My husband and I were looking for a sibling for our rescued boxer girl, Phoebe. We showed up to the rescue to look at a male boxer, and ending up adopting Tank after we found out they were having a difficult time placing a pitbull. It was love at first sight for all three of us. He jumped in the truck during the meet and greet and we took it to mean he knew he was meant for us. And he so is.

Tank is the source of love, light, & heart in our home. He loves going on walks, playing fetch, riding in the Truck, & just being with his people. Sneaking into our bed at night is another of his favorite past times. He's an amazing ambassador of his breed. He's the most gentle, kind, sweet dog I've ever known. We all get up off the couch to make room for him, even if it means sitting on the floor

We lost our boxer girl two years ago this month to cancer. Tank was diagnosed this month with a similar cancer. The idea of our son not growing up to remember either of our dogs breaks my heart. I can't even bear to think about the possibility.

Tank was diagnosed with a digestive cancer this month. He's currently being seen at Tier 1 in Palmer, AK. The chemo bills far exceed the limits of this crowdfunding, but any little bit will help us save our boy. If we lose him with money as the one thing that prevents us from saving him I'll never get over it.

When he's very, very excited, he makes the strangest noise that we all call his turkey call. I can't describe it in words. It's hilarious. He never barks or growls or makes any other sounds, other than a soft whine or this ear piercing turkey call ha ha. He loves to swim but will never ever walk into a body of water. Only jump off a dock. And he LOVES cheese!! He could hear the wrapper a mile away
