About this campaign

In 2013, I lived alone in an RV as a college student. I searched online for a German Shepherd dog after hearing an unknown person trying to break into my RV home during the morning hours. I named my dog Tap Out because his name complements my “Red Belt” “Taekwondo” Martial Arts background. I had Tap Out for 11 years. I also have a cat.

On 9/10/2034, I observed that my dog’s hind legs were non-ambulatory. My dog began treatment at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Matthews, NC. My dog has been diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). The veterinarian team informed me that my dog is in need of surgery. Surgery is necessary to help improve his mobility, quality of life, and give him the potential for a full recovery.

My dog adore humans. I live in a small town in which rifle shots are fired almost on a daily basis by deer hunters. My dog is afraid of rifle the shots, fireworks, thunder and lightning.

I live on a fixed income and had to apply for a loan to cover an unexpected expense of $4,000 in initial veterinarian costs. My dog needs surgery to improve his quality of life. Thanks in advance for your support.
