About this campaign

Tater joined our family in early 2022. We were lucky enough to adopt him from a rescue agency after he had been abandoned in the middle of winter on the street in Detroit. In spite of his abusive beginning, he is full of love, and is the happiest, most cuddle loving dog I have ever had. I strongly believe Tater rescued me as much as we rescued him.

On a regular vet visit for a mild infection, we got the devastating news that Tater has Lymphoma. He is undergoing chemotherapy to extend his young life by a fabulous team of veterinary oncologists at Emergency Veterinary Hospital and Specialty Services in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Tater is the most loving, loyal, fun, joyful, smart, cuddly dog I have ever had. He loves walks/runs, car rides with his head out the window, chasing sticks, and swimming in Lake Superior! At home, he greets visitors with a delighted tail-wagging enthusiasm. He follows me around the house, cuddles next to me on the couch, and sleeps by my side. This 70 pound pooch truly believes he is a lap dog!

I am retired on a fixed-income so the cost of the chemotherapy treatments that Tater needs to extend his young life is more than I can manage. Any support, no matter how small, would help Tater get the care he needs, and would be very much appreciated.
