About this campaign
We adopted Taz as a senior from a shelter in FL. It was love at first sight! He came right over and sat with us and we just knew - he's part of our pack. He was originally found as a stray and adopted. Then, according to his records he was surrendered as a senior and underwent a major dental procedure - 9 teeth! - a raging UTI and bladder stones right before we met.
Taz has been in the hospital the last week because he has high calcium which is causing pancreatitis. We found out today that he has a parathyroid tumor that is causing the high calcium and needs removed.
Taz is our support dog and has brought such calm, joy and love into our home. He goes with us everywhere and people just find him hard to resist. He brings a smile and a ray of hope on even the worst of days. When we feel down he comes and jumps and does a cute little dance that lifts your spirits and he is always up for a snuggle or sing "I love you" with you.
Our family lost its income twice last year due to all the economic chaos and we decided to move to Colorado for a job. In order to get here, we sold almost all of our belongings - toys, bikes, furniture etc. Right before we left, our other dog of 13 years passed.
