Britney S. is worried sick. Her beloved, adopted dog, Taz, is fighting for his life in the hospital. His bill hit $13,000, and Britney is panicked trying to pay it. They need your help!

"Taz has Addison's disease but was admitted to the ER on Friday due to being lethargic and sluggish," Britney tells Waggle. "They found out his gallbladder was bad, and he had a severe case of pancreatitis."

The medical team at VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital removed Taz's gallbladder, but he remains hospitalized and in urgent care. Britney and her family would do anything for Taz, but they need a financial lifeline to help pay his astronomical bill.

"This was all crazy and unexpected; the bill right now is well beyond $13,000," Britney says. "Any funds are beyond appreciated. We don't know what to do, considering the bill just keeps going up. Any help will be used towards our Taz. He's the light to our family and means the world to us."

When Britney rescued Taz, he was in a litter of six puppies and he was one of the last ones left. His father got hit by a car and dropped off at a rescue. His mother was giving birth at the time. "When we saw Taz online, we knew we had to see him," Britney says. "He jumped right into my dad's lap and stayed there. After that, we took him home. Where he is truly spoiled."

Their home and hearts are not the same without Taz.

"Taz is special because not only did he choose our family, but he can change anyone's mood in a matter of seconds," Britney says. "Taz has such a big heart and doesn't have a single mean bone in his body. He will listen to you and do little tricks to make you smile. With him being gone, the house feels empty and dismal. He's been in the vet for five days, and everyone feels it."
