Tiny Kittens. Endless Medical Needs.

About this campaign
Kitten season is well underway, and already at RBARI we are overwhelmed.
We received a call about three very young orphaned kittens suffering from respiratory infections. We never want our animals to be sick, but especially not when these babies are so young and just trying to survive. When they arrived, we quickly realized one baby was in far worse condition.
The tiny female kitten had suffered a traumatic injury leaving part of her leg missing. She was battling infection, with exposed bone requiring immediate medical attention.
All three kittens, Tchotchke, Trinket, and Knick-Knack, were rushed to the hospital. Doctors determined there was not enough healthy skin to close Trinket’s leg. For now, the focus is on controlling infection, keeping her comfortable, and helping her grow strong enough for the amputation surgery she will need.
Even through everything she has been through, Trinket is bright and fighting hard right alongside her brothers. We know a fighter when we see one.
Caring for fragile bottle babies, especially with special medical needs, requires devoted care, medications, supplies, veterinary treatment, and even in Trinket’s case, major surgery.
Kitten season is relentless. The calls never stop. The emergencies keep coming through our doors. And every time we say yes to babies like Trinket, we are relying on you to help us keep going.
Kittens will continue to pour through our doors this kitten season - completely dependent on rescue to survive. With your help we can continue to to say yes to more and more of these cases. Help us get through another kitten season and put these babies in loving homes.
