Teddy Bear is a 1-year-old Short Hair Domestic in Silver Spring, MD, who needs $1,900 for chemotherapy.

My baby boy Teddy came into my life on October 2020. I spotted him on a website and immediately fell in love with his cute little face, brought him home and named him Teddy Bear. I inquired about Teddies medical records but did not hear back from the owner after adoption. He is our very first pet for our family and we were all very excited to enjoy our lives with him!

He is our very first pet in the family, and everyone is so in love with him. He sleeps a whole bunch, but when he is awake he likes to play catch, which is odd but it is his favorite thing to do with his favorite toy monkey. He loves going on long rides and sticking his face out the window for some nice wind action.

I am asking for help from you lovely people because I just recently graduated from college this week and learned about his condition right after. We have also drained our savings in initial diagnosis for his condition but will do anything to see him get better.

Unfortunately, Teddy was diagnosed with high grade Lymphoma and fLV, which is feline leukemia virus. He is strictly an in door cat so we think he was exposed at the previous owners hands. His condition is extremely critical as high grade Lymphoma takes it course in a matter of weeks or months. For now, he is being put on initial treatment and steroids before starting his chemo therapy.

His favorite toy is monkey, he brings it to us anytime he wants to play catch. He sleeps with monkey, naps with monkey and loves to enjoy snuggles. Where Teddy goes monkey goes. He loves playing laser tag and is a wall climber! Hes also very talkative and we love his little chrips and meows! He responds to me when I say "meow meow" so I would like to think he is very excited to communicate with us
