About this campaign
Please help! Teddy needs exploratory surgery – and we have no idea what will be found.
Teddy went into distress yesterday, and we immediately acted to support him and his mom, Margie.
Teddy is a 6-year-old Pomeranian / poodle mix, who was rescued from Egypt by Pathway in 2018, noted to have been neutered by the sending rescue. Teddy was not eating, nauseas and lethargic for 2 days when we hospitalized him with the amazing medical team at Eclipse.
Bloodwork, xrays and ultrasound all point to the same thing – Teddy has an abdominal mass that is believed to be either his testicle(s) or leftover tissue / sponge from his neuter. A tumor has been detected on the tissue believed to be his testes that will be biopsied.
He was in critical shape, having been sent home from another hospital the day previous due to his mom’s lack of funds. It was our commitment to Margie and Teddy to always be there for them – and we need your help!
Because of Teddy’s condition, and the nature of this exploratory surgery, the safest thing is to keep him on supportive care stabilized in hospital and send him right into surgery.
Please help us to be there for Teddy, and Margie, with your donation today. Our funds have been badly depleted due to recent emergencies, surgeries and hospitalizations, and we can not continue our critically needed work without your support, and your HOPE.
