Teddy came to us in 2020 as a medical foster through a rescue transport from Mexico. He arrived with one leg already amputated and another needing amputation. We nursed him through recovery, fell in love with his resilient spirit, and officially adopted him. He’s now a happy, beloved member of our family and has adapted amazingly to life with his disability. He makes our family complete.

Teddy was recently diagnosed with an odontogenic neoplasm, a tumor affecting the mouth/jaw area. He is under the care of Veterinary Dental Specialists, where he was evaluated by a specialized veterinary dental team who found that surgery is a necessary next step. If the tumor is effectively removed, he will be able to live out the entirety of his life with few to no further issues.

Teddy is incredibly affectionate and full of personality. He loves cuddling with everyone in the family, stretching into us for extra snuggles, and giving kisses whenever he can. He’s playful, talkative, and happiest when surrounded by people or other dogs. Despite everything he’s overcome, Teddy is joyful, social, and always finds ways to make everyone around him smile.

We’re facing Teddy’s surgery at the same time a car accident totaled our vehicle, creating major financial strain. We’ve already spent thousands on diagnostics and specialty care. Without this last surgery Teddy will suffer, but with treatment he’s expected to fully recover.
