From Rock Bottom to Recovery—Help Terk Heal

Terk was surrendered to Castaway Critters when his dad entered rehab. At first, he adjusted well to life in the rescue, but then things took a turn. He stopped eating and rapidly lost weight. Fearing a foreign body, they rushed him to the vet for tests.

What they found was shocking.

Terk’s intestines had twisted around themselves—a rare and life-threatening condition the vet had never seen before. To make things even more unusual, Terk has not one, but two spleens—one normal, and one “baby” spleen.

Thanks to quick action by the caring and compassionate workers at Castaway Critters and the vet, Terk pulled through. He’s now recovering well and is finally able to rest, eat, and heal. But the cost of his life-saving treatment was steep, and Castaway Critters needs your help to continue giving animals like Terk a second chance.

Terk is healing in recovery. Hopefully, he will be able to be put up for adoption soon once he makes some more progress and can find his forever home. Castaway Critters is grateful for your continued support as his bills are costly, among the many other cats they are currently caring for.
