Hello, I rescued my dog, Tesla, in August 2011 when she was four months old. The rescue, ARF, is near where I live in Indiana. The rescue found Tesla running loose downtown with another dog. She is a part of my family which includes my boyfriend, daughter, grand baby, mom, brother, and nephew. Tesla lives with me. She is my baby. We love her very much. The thought of losing her is devastating.

A typical day begins with Tesla sleeping in her bed which is next to my bed. She loves to spend time in my back yard which is fenced. One of Tesla's favorite things to do is go to the park near my home. We go there to walk. In the evenings she likes to snuggle and get belly rubs. Around 11pm, Tesla will ask to go out to potty. When she comes in, she reminds me if her bedtime treat isn't ready!

In March when the virus shut down businesses, I lost my job. The cost of surgeries, exams, and testing totals $4,941.23. I am in desperate need of assistance to pay these expenses. This surgery will save Tesla's life. Please help me save my baby. She has many years left!

This summer Tesla developed a large mass on her stomach. We went to see our vet at the Animal Medical Center. The vet said she thought the mass was a fatty tumor and scheduled surgery. After the surgery, the tissue was sent to a lab where they determined Tesla has Sarcoma (cancer). Tesla was then seen by an oncologist at VCA who recommended another surgery to remove a part of the intestinal wall.

Tesla is very smart. She loves to play with toys like Kongs. She works to get her treats by solving a puzzle. She will pickup the toy and drop it on the floor or roll it around the house to get her treats out ot them. Her tail wags the whole time she's playing. She loves to watch squirrels. At the park, she will sit near a tree to watch the squirrels play. She likes to see her friends there too!
