About this campaign
Our children wanted a dog more than anything in the world. Because of my own trauma from the loss of my own dog as a child & wanting to be very thoughtful with regard to temperament & breed, we took out time. We eventually found Tess through a puppy adoption service. From day one she's been loving, protective, sweet, & wonderful. She's always done well with her physicals.
Recently she became unable to hold her urine. We took her to the vet & they prescribed some antibiotics, suspecting a UTI. She finished the medication & it did not work. She was seen again, and diagnosed as diabetic, & in a state of ketoacidosis. We were advised to get her to an actual Animal Hospital versus a vet's office. Blue Cross Animal Hospital in North Hollywood Ca. has been treating her.
Tess is family. Plain & simple. Our home would never be the same without Tess. Our children are her primary caregivers but collectively we all care for her. Her sister, Riley misses her & our son who is on the autism spectrum & can seem less than connected with her, feels the difference because he asks for her.
We are in crisis because she can still be saved & live a full life for years to come. We have paid a sizable deposit for the services received thus far. We are in an urgent state because the Dr. feels that she can still have productive happy years. Any help is apprecaited.
