About this campaign

Tessa came to live with us in January 2022 at 8 weeks old. She has an older sister Charlotte and they’re best friends. They love to play. You can tell from the fur explosion of the picture of Tessa in her crate that she’d just had a bath and it’s the start of her losing her summer coat. ♥️ She is the most loving and caring dog. She won’t even be 2 until next month, so she has many years ahead.

My 17 year old daughter, 16 year old son and I live together with the two dogs. Charlotte is a track star runner if she gets out without a leash, Tessa would never run away. She is a complete love bug, even the vet we saw today mentioned it.

When she’s taken out to go potty or just play, she takes off running round and around the yard, running by you as close as she can while doing her laps. Sometimes she misjudges and either knocks into you or worse, she accidentally bowls you over. She’s all kisses and snugs if she does to make sure she’s not in trouble.

My daughter laid a wet towel on Tessa’s crate and forgot it. Tessa chewed part of it and the next morning which was yesterday, she started vomiting and wouldn’t eat. Dr Ashley Powell at Ally Urgent Vet care saw her today and x-rays show what we think is an obstruction which needs surgery. I gave my last penny today to have her seen.

I’m on disability and can’t afford the cost of the surgery. I can’t save her without help. It’s supposed to be 1500-2000 at general practice, 3000-500 at emergency clinic. I can’t get a loan, care credit or scratch loan.
