I am a low income senior on social security disability, and issues in the past year have made it harder to take good care of my 2 dogs. I'm seeking help for my little terrier I call "The Smidget" whom I adopted from a rescue 6 years ago, (he's about 8-9 now). Like a lot of small terriers he has teeth problems and now a lot of decay; many teeth need to be removed.

I live alone with two dogs, both getting to be seniors but still enjoying regular nature walks. They are my steady companions who make me laugh and get me out on regular walks. Both my dogs keep each other company. I also take them to visit my nieces and nephews, they both love kids
and people in general. Last year l had to move to a 'senior apartment," but they are coping quite well.

My "smidget terrier' is both a cuddly lap dog/ emotional support who sleeps with me at night and wakes me up every morning with his funny stretch and big expressive eyes. He is as good at 'zoomies' as cuddling, with hilarious expressions. Always eager to get me out to exercise and breath - which I really need due to my own physical and mental health. He pulls on my heart strings since day 1.

I hope to treat my little terrier's bad teeth; up to half of them need to be removed due to decay. I had a similar estimate a year ago but didn't have the money even then. Now his teeth are worse and my financial situation is worse due to events of the past year. I fear him getting an infection.

I adopted my 2 dogs when I was still working/ self-supporting. But 6 years ago I developed a rare autoimmune disease called MCTD (damaged my lungs and causes chronic pain). Then in the past few months I had a bad car wreck and a Stroke. I need to keep my buddies healthy!
