The Wise Sterilize! - Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue in Sherman, TX, needs $2,000 for their Spay/Neuter Program for Low-Income Families.

About this campaign

Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue

We wish to help families who cannot afford to spay or neuter their large breed dog. Our rescue gets requests daily from people who need help with sterilization and even vaccinations. The minimum cost for a large breed is about $200, even at low-cost clinics. With this DOGust grant, we could help so many families keep their dogs if they were altered.

We get calls to assist 6-7 dogs daily in the summer months. Many of whom are not being well cared for. Our dogs often come in with ear infections and major skin issues from lack of proper care. This year, as in most years, we have had many Pyrenees that needed extensive and expensive medical treatment.

It takes many volunteer hours to rescue these dogs. It also takes a lot of money. Average cost per dog for BASIC Veterinary Care and Shots: $275 (for dogs in good health). Please donate today. Every dollar counts!

Mission:
Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue became a 501(c)3 in 2001. We are a foster-based rescue that has saved over 5000 dogs since the rescue's inception. TGPR is dedicated to community education about Great Pyrenees dogs and to the rescue, care, and responsible adoption of Great Pyrenees and Great Pyrenees mixes.
