Theo is a 3-year-old Shih-tzu in Brooklyn, NY, who needs $2,000 for Portosystemic Shunt Surgery .

In 2018 I lost my dog of 13 yrs. I was completely heart broken; and still am. Just recently I decided I can open up my heart to love another little one and that’s when my aunt introduced a friend of hers that breeds Shih-tzus. I saw a pic of the recent litter and immediately knew I wanted Theo. 💙🐾

Theo is super energetic and crazy. Despite his illness he has the energy and lively ness of a puppy in good health. He has a massive personality for such a little stature. It’s not hard for him to get his way at home. Fun fact Theo is a namesake for two family pets who’ve passed away Thrilla and Oreo TH+EO= THEO

Having lost my first baby boy of 13 years, it will absolutely devastate me to have to lose Theo. In such a short time we’ve fought tremendously hard to get where we are at today in the journey to fight for his life. We will continue to do so with all that we have 💙🐾

Theo was diagnosed with a portosystemic shunt in his liver. He is currently being treated and looked after by the doctors at ASC (Animal Specialty Center) in Yonkers, New York. We’ve spent over $3,000 for medications and testing on this journey and still have a long road ahead of us to arrive to surgery.

Theo is really attracted to funny voices. If you can do a cute baby voice, or a high pitched voice you’ve got his complete attention. He pays attention to detail and will shock you with some of the things he notices. Sometimes you can look at him and see the little wheels turning in his head. Warning though...hide your shoes 👞around this little one. Or he’ll hide them for you. .. 🤣🤣🤣
