Theo is a 5 year old Norwegian Forest Cat in Dayton, OH, who needs $2,000 for Blood Transfusion.

“He literally is my kid” I tell everyone. The cat distribution system appeared to after I helped my friend with infertility conceive and I got a Chonky long hair cat as a thank you, so I joke that he came into my life as a result of my genetic material. Theo lives a playful life at home in Dayton Ohio with his mom, his dad, his dog sister and cat brother. He is beloved.

Theo was diagnosed with feline diabetes just 2 weeks ago and failed therapy with veterinary guidelines. His condition has worsened as now he is in diabetic ketoacidosis. Although he is getting an insulin drip and IV fluids his blood values are low and now needs a blood transfusion. All of this was unexpected and although we have pet insurance our family is getting overwhelmed.

Our Theo means everything to us. He is a valued family member who loves salmon, catnip and cream cheese. I will never forget when I was studying for my boards he would fall asleep next to me showing me that we were in this together.

Although we have savings and pet insurance. We have exceeded the amount MetLife will reimburse us and transfusions were more expensive than we anticipated. We have come close to depleting our savings and would be forever grateful to anything the waggle community can spare.
