Theo is by far the most expensive dumpster cat you’ll ever meet. He was found with his brother in a dumpster behind a restaurant when they were hardly even 2 months old. He came to live with me around a year old, this was back in 2017. We have been inseparable since, that was 8 years ago.

Around 4-5 years old, he developed a chronic urinary issue. It is an excess of struvite crystals in his urine that can easily cause a blockage in his urinary system. Once a male cat gets this blockage, it’s life or death. Within 24-48hrs, their body can shut down. He has had multiple blockages throughout the years, and this surgery is his last resort at sticking around a little while longer.

Theo has been an important part of our family for many years now. He came into my life when I needed a best friend. He has now became an important part of my children’s lives, along with his best fur friend. We all would be lost if we didn’t have him. After a long day, his affection and cuddling powers lighten up the worst moods.

We now face this surgery as our only option, which is not cheap. We are looking at $3k up front, which is a lot for us as a family. It would mean the world to us to have more years with our family pet.
